Happy first-day-back-to-school-after-Christmas-break, Mommas! I’m missing my babies, but my coffee is extra strong this morning, and I’m excited to get back to work…and parent a crazy toddler at the same time.

Let’s chat about goals. The Hubby and I had our annual goal setting meeting last Friday night (AKA happy hour at Fleming’s and business planning on cocktail napkins) and we are so fired up about 2015. We listed out personal goals, family goals, and business goals. After much thought, I’ve decided to keep those major goals private…just something to keep for ourselves.

However, I do believe in accountability, and that sharing monthly goals (#goalswithgrace2015) is beneficial. Let’s dig in!

January

1. Finish editing my last 2 December weddings

2. Clean out and back up all session on the iMac (just did this on the Macbook Pro and it took 4 hours…yikes)

3. Photograph 2 weddings, 1 engagement session, and 3 portrait sessions

4. Submit one wedding for a possible blog feature

5. Finish reading my 1st book of 12 for this year

6. Reanalyze our cost of doing business/pricing structure

7. Throw Ava a birthday party (yes, I have to actually write that one out…)

8. Design and order another sample album

9. Morning quiet time-every day.

10. Host a giveaway!!!!!

If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you know that I love goal setting, list making, loving intentionally, making things happen. That being said, I’m so excited to announce that I’m giving away a copy my dear friend Lara Casey’s new book, Make It Happen! In her debut book, Lara shares about her journey in surrenduring fear, taking a leap of faith and living on purpose. I’ve just started reading, but I can tell you that this book is speaking to me in so many ways. Lara’s faith in God shines brightly throughout and it’s just so refreshing.

To enter:

Share the image below on FB or Instagram (you may post on both platforms if you wish, but this is not a random drawing, so one entry is sufficient) with #makingthingshappenwithKMP (yes, it’s a long hashtag, but there are plenty of giveaways happening right now all over social media with this amazing read!) and tell me and the team here at KMP what you want to make happen this year.

Scott, Noelle and I will read each entry and select one lucky winner on Friday, January 9th at 10:00 AM.

GOOD LUCK, Friends!
