After each of my babies were born, my hair fell out. Like, a LOT of it fell out. Postpartum hair loss was a huge struggle for me, as it is for so many other new moms. My hair generally began to fall out when my babies were roughly 3 months old. After my first two pregnancies, the fallout wasn't terrible. My third baby brought moderate postpartum hair loss. However, my postpartum hair loss after my fourth baby was extreme. I found myself sobbing in the shower day after day while I pulled handfuls of hair from my quickly balding head. I cut my hair shorter in an effort to slow the fall out and even took a break from coloring. As my son grew, my hairline kept receding, inching further and further back onto my scalp. My balding had almost reached the back of my ears. I was devastated, as you can tell from the raw, unedited images below.
