Throughout my entire pregnancy, I’ve waited for this day. No, I’m not in labor. I’m not meeting our baby today. It’s not even my due date.

Today, I’m 36 weeks pregnant. Today is our “safe date”. Now that we’ve made it this far, they won’t try and stop the baby from coming. The clock is ticking…

You see, I’ve never made it this far into a pregnancy without medical intervention. I went into preterm labor with Aden and Ava at 32 weeks, and spent the next several weeks on bed rest, and medicated to stop my contractions. We haven’t made a midnight trip to labor and delivery due to contractions once during this pregnancy. Not once! No bed rest, no medication, no unnecessary interventions, no frequent monitoring and ultrasounds. Amazing.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this baby, who has sat with me and specifically prayed that our Little would stay put until the right time. We are so blessed, relieved and grateful.

Now….we wait for baby.
